HCA Inclement Weather Policy
Generally, HCA follows the school district the site is in.
HCA is listed specifically on TV-Channel 12 (cable channel 2) or Fox
40 (cable channel 5.) Notices can also be checked on WBNG.com or
WICZ.com. Radio announcements are on LITE
101.7 and 102.5 WLTB-FM. Serafini will not pick up children who live
in a district that has closed. Hour and two hour delays do not
affect the afternoon classes.
HCA Infant-Toddler Program (Johnson City)
- HCA on a one hour delay: classes will be from 9:30 to 10:00
and 10:00 to 11:30

- HCA on a two hour delay:
No Morning Classes
(staff reports two hours later)
- HCA cancelled: NO Infant/Toddler morning or afternoon
classes
(staff does not report to work)
HCA Building Blocks Preschool (Johnson City) / Endicott site
(Union-Endicott)
- HCA on a one hour delay: classes will begin at 9:30

- HCA on a two hour delay: NO morning classes

- HCA cancelled: NO morning or afternoon classes

HCA Jewish Community site (Vestal)
- HCA on a one hour delay: classes will begin at 10:00
(staff
reports one hour later)
- HCA on a two hour delay: classes are cancelled
(staff
reports two hours later)
- HCA cancelled: NO HCA class. The JCC day care will be open
so children who attend the day care can still be brought in by
parents.
